The 5th Annual Norma Jean Gala took place on Wednesday, April 20th. All the proceeds from this gala support Hollygrove, a wonderful non-profit agency that provides help and hope to some of LA’s most under-served and at-risk children. Hollygrove has cared for thousands upon thousands of children over the years. Here’s a fun fact: The gala is named in honor of legendary Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe who lived at Hollygrove from 1935 to 1937.
There was an array of Hollywood stars that joined us to support this fantastic fundraiser. Janie Bryant, Colin Hanks, Diane Ladd, Busy Philipps, and Ian Ziering were in attendance at the gala. The gala included Children’s Garden and Art Exhibit, live and silent auction, and a fun cocktail reception and dinner. In addition, this year’s honorees were Colin and Samantha Hanks and Peter and Sheri Weller.
With this annual philanthropic event, Hollygrove demonstrates their continued commitment to “do whatever it takes to help children, strengthen families, build community, advocate for systems, and ensure that their families thrive.”
This is the second year in a row that the Norma Jean Gala was held at Taglyan Complex. Click here to read last year’s blog.
