Los Angeles is the land of celebrities, and nothing exemplifies that more than the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Over 2,500 famous faces have been immortalized with stars on the Walk of Fame, with the Hollywood Historic Trust promoting and protecting the iconic monument. So, it only makes sense for the organization to be honored for its hard work.
In October, the Hollywood Historic Trust was honored at the inaugural Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors held at Taglyan Complex. And to further honor the Hollywood Historic Trust, the event was taped and televised on the CW on November 23.
Hosted by Criminal Minds star Joe Mantegna and his daughter Gia Mantegna, the event saw a host of actors, musicians and celebrities visit Taglyan Complex. Notable celebs in attendance included Melissa Rivers, Chuck Norris, Dean Cain, Eric Roberts, Gabrielle Ruiz, Jeff Dunham, Justin Baldoni, Montell Williams, Louis Gossett Jr., and Mike Tyson among many more.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors saw musical performances by The Beach Boys, Daughtry, Michael Bolton, Pia Toscano, BC Jean, Candice Glover, and David Foster. Famed entertainers Penn & Teller were even in attendance to perform their signature magic act for guests.
The inaugural event also included a special celebrity tribute dinner as well as presentations honoring the legacy of the legendary stars and entertainers whose names grace the Walk of Fame. Of course, the event also shined a spotlight on the Hollywood Historic Trust and all the work its done to preserve the Walk of Fame.
Taglyan Complex worked with Worldwide Media to bring the star-studded event to life. Thankfully, the venue found an eager collaborate in Worldwide Media president Jim Romanovich. As Romanovich noted:
“After more than five decades, we are thrilled to be the ones to bring the celebrated tradition of the Hollywood Walk of Fame to national television. As many of Hollywood’s biggest stars who have received their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame have repeatedly said — this one means the most. That says it all.”
With a slew of celebrities, winning musical performances and more, the first annual Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors was a great success.
